  • 1. Can I undergo a mastectomy even if I am not taking masculinizing hormones?

    Yes, it is not necessary, unless you are between 16 and 18 years old. In this situation, you will need to be on hormone therapy for a continuous period of at least 1 year before the procedure.

  • 2. Will I be able to pierce my nipples after my surgery?

    We recommend to never pierce the operated area as this may damage the sensitivity of the nipples. If you still wish to have a piercing despite the risk, please wait at least 9-12 months after surgery.
