Insertion of penile implant

Insertion of the implant into the phallus that was formed during your phalloplasty and allows sexual intercourse with penetration.

The insertion of the penile implant is a surgical procedure during which the implant is inserted into the phallus that was formed during your phalloplasty.

Currently, we are working with 2 implant models. The model, mechanism, and length will be chosen according to your anatomy. The penile implant obtains its rigidity through the activation of a pump normally located in the scrotum. The rigidity obtained makes sexual relations with penetration possible.

This procedure can be performed 6 months after the construction of the urethra (Step 2) or 12 months after phalloplasty if the construction of the urethra was carried out at the same time (Steps 1 and 2).

Limitation of the penile implant:

  • The penile implant does not permit the phallus to stand or rise as high as a biological penis.

*Due to multiple factors that are unique to each individual, results may vary from one person to another. Be assured that our surgical team works with each patient individually to achieve the best results possible.
